"Thank You" Octopus Letterpress Cards in Ocean Blue and Black $5.00

I’ve always loved to draw, and spent some time recently creating a series of drawings based on 19th century natural history illustrations.

The octopus on these cards is one of the results of the new drawings, and is centered above a sweet line of text reading, simply, “thank you”. The octopus is printed in a hand-mixed ocean blue ink, and “thank you” is printed in black.

Each card is letterpress printed by hand on my 1915 Golding Official No. 4 cast iron press. There is lots of soft white space around the message on the front of the card, and the inside of each card is blank.

These cards are printed on pearl white 100% cotton Crane’s Lettra paper and measure 5 ½" wide x 4 ¼" high when folded. The cards are packaged in biodegradable cellophane, with matching kraft brown envelope.
